This connector is metal-free which can be used in an MRI, DEHP-free making it suitable for patients of all ages, and latex-free which eliminates the potential for latex sensitivity. Safe and Reliable. The BD SmartSite Needle-Free Valve IV Connector reduces needlestick injuries and features a straight-through, non-tortuous fluid path that reduces the risk of hemolysis. It has a passive system that increases compliance and eliminates the need for caps and cannulas. The valve features high chemical compatibility and lipid resistance that can accommodate a wide variety of drugs.
